Cassation appeal under case of Pnjik Teroyan affected by illegal investigative actions will be examined on March 30, 2016

Note that recently on April 4, 2012, a crime report was filed with the RA Police. Based on the report above, Vanadzor city Taron Investigation Division of the RA Police Lori Marz (Region) Investigation Department initiated criminal proceedings. During the investigative actions taken, the investigator committed a number of violations. In particular, a police officer and persons with unknown identity and place of residence were involved as attesting witnesses in the investigative activities.
Based on the report of the incident, on September 16, 2014, the RA Special Investigation Service decreed to refuse initiating criminal proceedings due to lack of corpus delicti.
Pnjik Teroyan and her representative Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor, appealed the decree above first to higher instances and then to a court of law.
After the General Jurisdiction Court of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts of Yerevan, RA, dismissed their complaint, P. Teroyan and her representative A. Sakunts appealed its ruling to the Court of Appeal.
By its decree of July 15, 2015, the RA Court of Criminal Appeals reversed the ruling of the General Jurisdiction Court of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts dated May 19, 2015, by annulling the decree of A. Minasyan, RA SIS Senior Investigator for High-Profile Cases dated December 26, 2014 on not initiating criminal prosecution and suspending the criminal proceedings.
Hr. Badalyan, RA Deputy Prosecutor General, appealed the ruling of the RA Court of Criminal Appeals dated July 15, 2015 to RA Cassation Court that admitted the appeal and will examine it on March 30, 2016.
