“Sakunts, I’ll kill you”: the human rights activist faces threats
15:16, June 7, 2017 | News, Other newsThe other day, human rights activist Artur Sakunts posted on his Facebook page: “I can’t understand one thing: in broad daylight, you killed at least 10 people, illegally imprisoned some other people for years, deprived them of their property and home and as a result hundreds of thousand people had to leave the country and wander around the world to escape your unpunished injustice. How can you still dare to use your minions to snarl at those who stand against your inhumane policy and power?
Have you lost all your wits or do you think that if the people still stand it all patiently, things will remain the same and you will carry on plundering and embezzling? Tell your minion reporter, blogger or consultant serving some unknown interests or those who write status for money or whoever they are to shut up.
Or is the matter that you aren’t brave enough and set them on the public arena? Those, who went beyond the limit of correctness, preach correctness; come to your senses!”
After this post by the human rights activist, a certain Ashot Avanesyan threatened him publicly. Ashot Avanesyan commented on the human rights activist’s post. “Sakunts, I’ll kill you… Vahan martirosyans like you must have their heads off. Wait for me any moment. I am not the one who shoots from the back; I’ll shoot from the front, 2-3 meters with a 9-mm-caliber bullet. Wait for me, Sakunts”, the user wrote.
By the way, it should be noted that according to the user’s Facebook page, once he worked for the State Employment Agency but currently works for the South Caucasus Railways.
