Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor office strongly condemns the murder of the head of RF democracy movement Boris Nemtsov.
We believe that Boris Nemtsov’s murder was completely political and the government of Russian Federation and its dictator president Vladimir Putin carry all the responsibility for it.
Boris Nemtsov was known for his principled and consistent views and actions as well as his unyielding criticism of Putin’s politics.
Boris Nemtsov provided clear and justified evaluation of Putin’s actions not only in Russian Federation, but also in the international platforms stating that RF annexed Crimea and performs aggressive violations in Eastern Ukraine.
Nemtsov considered Putin’s corrupt and criminal regime dangerous for Russia and the international community.
Condemning murder of a defender of democratic principles and values and a well-known political actor Boris Nemtsov we express our condolences to his family, friends and supporters.
At the same time we believe that the democratic states and forces will pursue unilateral and joint action to fight against and eliminate Putin’s dictatorship.
Boris Nemtsov’s murder is a direct threat to not only the Russian Federation but also to the democratic forces of states that are under its political and military influence.
