First Electoral Violations recorded in Vanadzor
08:02, September 9, 2012 | Press Release | Electoral RightsOn September 9, 2012, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly – Vanadzor is conducting observation of LSG elections in the City of Vanadzor. By 9:30, observers registered that all voting booths are made of cardboard, which creates inconvenience; they bend when voting and may become a reason for marking the ballot incorrectly.
Despite the experience from previous elections, observers registered that the ink for stamping the passport does not last long and disappears in less than an hour in 30/52, 30/38, 30/42, 30/46, 30/7, 30/11, 30/23, and 30/56 polling stations. Thus we can already assume that the risk of multiple voting is high and the transparency of elections is in danger.
