HCA Vanadzor Continues Call-up Monitoring
00:00, October 1, 2009 | Press ReleaseOn September 30, a training of monitors took place at the office of HCA Vanadzor within the framework of the project “Implementation of Call-up Monitoring.”
The training is directed towards effective implementation of monitoring of fall call-up. Participants from Lori, Tavush and Shirak regions attended the training.
Monitoring of call-up includes study of those issues related to the registration, notification of the recruits, the course of medical examination, the attitude of military commissariats and medical commissions towards the recruits.
Summarizing the results of the spring call-up, A. Sakunts, the coordinator of HCA Vanadzor, mentioned that more attention should be paid to the work of medical commissions.
“These questions enable us to have a clear picture of the call-up process and develop recommendations in order to improve it”-A. Sakunts added.
At the training course the obstacles of the spring call-up were discussed and relevant suggestions were made.
Like the spring call-up, during this period interviews will be held with the recruits and their relatives, the returned soldiers, with the representatives of schools, local military commissariats, polyclinics/hospitals and local self-governmental bodies.
The interviews will be held in Lori, Shirak and Taush regions in the period of October 1 – December 31, 2009.
The project is implemented within the framework of the project “Implementation of Call-up Monitoring” with the support of OSCE Yerevan office.
