The students visited Vanadzor under the Project Weeks to get familiar with various organizations in Armenia and further foster cooperation with them. This time the students chose the HCA Vanadzor since the Organization’s mission among others covers conflict resolution and peace-building initiatives, and the HCA Vanadzor and the Dilijan International School have similar standpoints on the issues above. Ophelia Zalyan, HCA Vanadzor Program Coordinator, presented the Organization’s mission and sectors of activities. Then Artur Sakunts, Chairman of the HCA Vanadzor, answered the guests’ questions and outlined the human rights situation in Armenia and worldwide and particularly detailed on the ways of conflict emergence and the most essential one, namely disrespect for the human dignity by the regime. At the meeting, the guests suggested that the HCA Vanadzor joined the School’s CAS Program under which students would be involved in various organizations to take part in their activities and make exchange visits.
