HCA Vanadzor hosted the representatives of Jinishian Memorial Foundation

On January 18, 2018 HCA Vanadzor hosted the representatives of Active Youth for Change, which is a project of Jinishian Memorial Foundation.
The youths are going to implement projects in the field of human rights defense and for that aim they have meetings with the specialists of the field and human rights defenders to implement the projects in a more targeted and effective way.
Artur Sakunts, the Chairperson of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office, presented in which directions HCA Vanadzor is operating, who are the beneficiaries of the Organization, and what achievements HCA Vanadzor has recorded throughout 20 years.
A. Sakunts spoke about the different manifestations of human rights violations in Armenia and the possible ways of preventing them. In this context he touched upon the violations of labor rights. Then, at the suggestion of the youths, A. Sakunts touched upon the problems in Vanadzor and the measures that are being undertaken to solve them.
The participants presented the issues identified by them, in the direction of which they are going to conduct a study. A. Sakunts provided guidance on how issues can be studied and how to conduct monitoring. He presented what monitoring tools and methods there are and then promised to cover these questions in more detail at further meetings and to support the implementation of the projects when the youths clarify which issues the projects to be implemented are going to be aimed at.
