The Reference by HCA Vanadzor on Political Prisoners in Armenia was posted on Europe without Political Prisoners website making part of the international campaign for freedom of political prisoners initiated by Norwegian Helsinki Committee, a partner of HCA Vanadzor. The website above covers information on political prisoners in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.
It includes detailed information not only on the prisoners currently (or in 2014-2015) serving their sentence at various penitentiaries but also on the persons convicted for their political views and then released after serving their sentence.
The Reference was prepared based on the monitoring of the media, judgments and trials and the information collected from lawyers and relatives of the prisoners.
