According to the child’s family, before being taken to hospital, the child was in a good state and even climbed the relevant unit without any help.
While the child received medical aid, as A. P., Head of Contagious Isolation Unit at Armavir Medical Center performed the 2nd gastric lavage, the child’s condition worsened dramatically. As it became clear later, before being transferred to the intensive care unit, the child had already been in the state of clinical death.

The expert examination under the preliminary investigation confirmed that the doctor had failed to take the necessary actions that might have prevented the subsequent complications.
Under the criminal proceedings initiated by the investigating body, doctor A. P. was charged under Article 130(2) of the RA Criminal Code. By the investigator’s motion, Armavir Medical Center administration suspended the doctor’s professional activities. Throughout the criminal proceedings, HCA Vanadzor Chairman A. Sakunts and lawyer A. Chatinyan acted as representatives of the successor to the victim and were involved in the investigation.
The preliminary investigation was completed, and the case with the indictment was sent to General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Marz (Region). The initial court hearing was scheduled for December 21, 2015 in Etchmiadzin residence of the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Marz (Region).
