On April 5,2011, the RA Lori Region Court of First Instance denied a claim filed by HCA-Vanadzor regarding the rejection of filing of a criminal case by the RA General Prosecutor M. Khachatryan.
The RA Lori Region Prosecutor’s office reached a resolution to refuse initiating a criminal case based on evidence of an illegal search in a citizen’s apartment by an interrogator from the Lori Region Investigative Department. On April 18, 2011, the organization submitted an appeal against the resolution.
The RA Criminal Court of Appeals reached a resolution not to hear the case by clarifying that the deadline is invalid. HCA-Vanadzor applied to the Court so that they would consider the invalidity of the deadline and thereby restore the resolution.
