Putin is a dictator: Artur Sakunts claims his post

“My words aimed to show the situation in all its seriousness, which exists in Armenia now, namely, degrading treatment human basic dignity on the part of the authorities”, stated human rights activist Artur Sakunts in a talk with Yerkir.am by explaining his facebook post, which raised a lot of turmoil in social networks.
It should be noted that Artur Sakunts’ post on the facebook read as follows, “Whoever does not come out on Puntin’s day to resist and get him off, it means that person is a dweeb irrespective of his position, occupation, gender, age, it will mean being a slave, devoid of minimum human dignity… this is it… if you have other suggestions, let me know.”
By Sakunts’ words it is degrading that people are indifferent when the authorities degrade their dignity. He is puzzled how the situation does not agitate the same people who were insulted by his facebook statements. He noted he was upset by people’s desperateness when they are unwilling to anyway prevent the humiliation of their dignity.
The human rights activist also accepts that his post contained extreme and very strict evaluations, but thereby he attempted to show the whole seriousness of the situation.
“It is my opinion, if some people do not like my opinion, it is their business, but when I am pointing out people’s desperateness, they get insulted. As a human rights activist, I find that the right the authorities display towards its citizens is humiliation of dignity”, he pointed out.
According to Artur Sakunts, having a different orientation means consenting to the country’s annexation and suppression of citizens’ constitutional rights.
To the question how he was going to stop Putin, the human rights activist replied that he would do it in different legal and social methods and political protest actions.
“I am against putinism, Putin is a dictator and cannot treat its own county citizens well, let alone the citizens of other countries”, concluded Artur Sakunts.
