The young members of the Civil Initiative Group conduct a signature campaign in Vanadzor on extradition of Valery Permyakov, suspected of the atrocity in Gyumri on January 12, to the control of the RA law enforcement agencies.

The participants of the signature campaign demand that the RA Prosecutor General submitted and publicized an official letter to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to the effect of extraditing Permyakov to the RA law enforcement agencies, as well as that the preliminary and trial investigations into the killing of the Avetisyan’s family were conducted with maximum openness and transparency under the demand on extraditing Valerie Permyakov to the Republic of Armenia law enforcement agencies, his detention at the penitentiary facilities of the RA MoJ and unhampered performance of investigative actions against him by the investigative bodies. According to the Civil Initiative Group members, over 300 persons signed the petition in 3 hours. The young people also noted that many of those who signed the demand, expressed their willingness to join the demonstrations and supported the demand of the citizens of Gyumri and Yerevan.

 The signature campaign organizers mentioned that their campaign was not anti-Russian, but rather they put forward a clear demand to the RA Government.
