The Absence of the “Against All” box is a Violation of Free Choice as well as an Expression of Free Will

On April 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. the examination of Artur Sakunts’ claim against the decision of the RA Central Electoral Commission was assigned to the RA Administrative Court.
Artur Sakunts mentioned in his claim that the RA Central Electoral Commission had accepted a normative act which defined the forms and the summary of the ballots for the elections of the RA President, National Assembly, and Yerevan Council; however, this norm has not prescribed the “Against All” box. As a result of which the right to choice and expression of will is violated.
”Today such a situation is created in the RA where I cannot fully implement my right to free and open choice. If I cannot vote for any of the nominated parties or candidates, in this case, I lose my right to express my will freely and participate in the process of forming my government”, -notes Artur Sakunts.
