The Government Responded Positively to Making Supplement and Amendment to the RA law “On Psychiatric Aid”

The RA Government and Legal Department of RA National Assembly, by conducting a professional examination of the legislative recommendation drafted by the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly- Vanadzor, reached a positive response.
The RA Government did not pose any fundamental objections regarding the draft law package, while the Legal Department of RA National Assembly made a few comments regarding editorial refining.
In case the draft law is passed, a relevant RA Government decision will be adopted within a 6-month term after the law enters into force. It is worth noting that the Organization had made a legislative recommendation over making a supplement and amendment to the RA law “On Psychiatric Aid”.
Ara Babloyan, Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood and D. Harutyunyan, Chairman of RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs also came up with legislative initiatives.
