The training series on Rights and Duties of Conscripts and Servicemen, Legal Regulations of Conscripts Rights Protection are in progress; the next-in-time training was held in Gavar town. As already mentioned, the training covers both the conscript’s rights and duties before conscription, at the conscription and during the military service, and relevant legal regulations and the mechanisms for appeal. The training in Gavar was mostly attended by young men aged 16-25. The training was facilitated by Armine Sadikyan, HCA Vanadzor Peace-building Program Coordinator. The training participants discussed the real situations they faced in terms of grounds for deferral and exemption from military service, insufficiency of transport compensation to attend the republican medical examination, conscription of persons with health problems and the practices of not granting the citizens the medical documents on their health examination.
