Upon arriving at the scene, the HCA Vanadzor staff saw some 20 employees of the Vanadzor-Khimprom plant gathered near the highway surrounding by the police cordon preventing them from moving forward. The protesters said that before deciding to block the highway, they had sought assistance with Lori Marz (Region) governor A. Nalbandyan who said he could not help them.
At about 11 am, the demonstrators stopped the protest action to resume it on the following day.
Note that while some months ago, Lori Marz governor A. Nalbandyan promised to resolve the issue, the deadlines he mentioned have already expired, and the issue still remains unresolved.
