The doctor charged with the death of a four-year-old child will compensate the aggrieved party for material damages in the amount of 890,000 AMD
Under the ruling issued by the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Province, RA on December 14, 2017, A. Petrosyan, the doctor charged with the death of a four-year-old child Karine Hovhannisyan, who died at Armavir Medical Center in 2015, is to compensate the aggrieved party for material damages in the amount of 890,000 AMD.
Successor of Lia Misakyan who died at ‘Arabkir’ Medical Center in 2013 demands material and moral damage compensation from doctors
On June 8, 2017 the General Jurisdiction Court of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts started examination of the claim for material and moral damage compensation of G. Misakyan, successor to 2-year-and-3-month-old Lia Misakyan who died at ‘Arabkir’ Medical Center on January 2, 2013.
By their claim, G. Misakyan and his representatives, Arayik Zalyan and Ani Chatinyan, lawyers at HCA Vanadzor, demand seizing from ‘Arabkir’ Joint Medical Center – Institute of Child and Adolescent Health LLC and L. Vardanyan and Z. Ayvazyan, doctors at ‘Arabkir’ Medical Center, 15,000.000 AMD for moral damage and 1,690.000 AMD as material damage.

On November 18, 2016, the General Jurisdiction Court of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan city, RA, presided by judge M. Melkonyan, examined the criminal case on charges against Lilit Vardanyan and Zarine Ayvazyan under Article 130(2) of RA Criminal Code.
Another appeal on young Elen Parsadanyan’s death submitted to court
On April 16, 2016, the criminal proceedings initiated on the death of young Elen Parsadanyan’s death were again discontinued without any logical grounds despite the fact that on the same day the investigator granted by his decree the motion of the aggrieved party on questioning the expert responsible for the additional commission expert examination.

Today, on June 24, 2016, the RA Court of Cassation ruled to grant in part the appeal on points of law submitted by Artur Sakunts, Chairman of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor and representative of successor of the victim under the case of 2-year-and-3-months-old Lia Misakyan who died at Arabkir Medical Center on January 3, 2013.
