Court dismissed the claim on French public figure of Armenian descent J. B. Ozkirisyan’s case
Today, on July 26, the RA Administrative Court dismissed the claim of Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor, and Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at the Organization, representatives of Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan), Coordinator of ‘Armenian Revival’ Organization Branch in Paris
Representative of the RA NSS stated that he would not obey the court ruling
As reported before, on July 6, 2016, the RA Administrative Court resumed examination of the claim of Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan) v. the RA National Security Service. Note that by this claim, the plaintiff required declaring unlawful the actions of the RA National Security Service, under which the plaintiff’s data were included in the databank of persona non grata in the RA and to annul the refusal to admit the administrative complaint by the letter of October 2, 2015.
Court judgment on Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan’s case to be announced on July 26
On July 6, 2016, the RA Administrative Court, presided by judge A. Harutyunyan, examined the claim of Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan) v. the RA National Security Service. Note that by this claim, the plaintiff’s representatives Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor, and Ani Chatinyan, lawyer and advocate at the Organization, demanded to declare unlawful the actions of the RA National Security Service, under which the plaintiff’s data were included in the databank of persona non grata in the RA, as well as to annul the refusal to admit the administrative complaint under the letter of October 2, 2015 and compel the RA National Security Service to remove the plaintiff’s data from the databank of persona non grata in the RA.
Ban imposed on J. B. Ozkirisyan to enter RA lifted
On April 27, 2016, the RA Administrative Court, presided by judge A. Harutyunyan, held the second court hearing on J. B. Ozkirisyan v. RA National Security Service.

On March 2, 2016, the RA Administrative Court, presided by judge A. Harutyunyan, held a pre-trial hearing on Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan) v. RA National Security Service based on a claim. By this claim, the plaintiff’s representatives Artur Sakunts and Ani Chatinyan demanded to recognize unlawful the actions of the RA National Security Service, under which the plaintiff’s data were included in the databank of persona non grata in the RA, as well as to annul the refusal to admit the administrative complaint under the letter of October 2, 2015.

The Armenian Rights Watch Committee (ARWC) of the Armenian Bar Association has been monitoring the case of Shant Voskerichian, a French national of Armenian origin denied entry into the Republic of Armenia in May 2015. This denial of entry has been challenged and the court hearing is scheduled for March 2, 2016, Yerevan, Armenia.

On January 5, 2016, armlur.am news website issued a media report entitled “Kingpin Shakro Molodoy Arrived in Armenia; Who Met Him?” mentioning that he was met by the RA RPA members, NA deputy Samvel Alexanyan and NA deputy Ruben Hayrapetyan, Chairman of the RA Football Federation.
