Another pre-trial court hearing scheduled on the case of Vahram Petrosyan, Mashtots Avenue protest participant
11:44, November 15, 2016 | News, Own news | PoliceOn November 9, 2016, the RA Administrative Court, presided by judge A. Harutyunyan, held a pre-trial court hearing within examination of the claim of the RA Police against Vahram Petrosyan, who took part in the assembly held before the examination of the motion on extending Gevorg Safaryan’s detention on March 23, 2016.
By its claim submitted to the Court, the RA Police demanded that V. Petrosyan was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 180.1(11 and 15) of the RA Code of Administrative Offences.
The pre-trial court hearing was attended by Sona Melikyan, representative of plaintiff RA Police and Senior Legal Adviser to Kentron Division of RA Police Yerevan city Department, defendant V. Petrosyan and his representative Tatevik Siradeghyan, lawyer at Yerevan Office of HCA Vanadzor.
After the Court verified the identities and powers of the trial participants, defendant’s representative T. Siradeghyan said that V. Petrosyan learnt about the court hearing from ‘Datalex’ judicial information system, received no documents, neither the complaint, nor the attached documents and therefore motioned that the Court gave them an opportunity to get familiar with those documents and submit relevant objections. For this purpose, she requested the Court to postpone the court hearing and schedule another pre-trial court hearing.
Presiding Judge A. Harutyunyan noted that the case files contained a return receipt certifying the fact of receipt of the ruling on admitting the claim, but V. Petrosyan insisted that he received no document related to the claim above.
The plaintiff’s representative did not object to the motion.
The Court ruled to grant the motion, postpone the pre-trial court hearing and schedule another pre-trial court hearing on January 26, 2017, at 2:30 pm.
