This year the candidates were again divided into two groups – the first group was awarded with «Golden Keysե as a symbol of publicity whereas the next group –with «Rusty Locksե as a symbol of secrecy.
The jury comprised 9 local NGOs and journalistic organisations . The Vanadzor office of Helsinki Civil Assembly was awarded with «Golden Keyե in 2006 and was recognised as the best NGO using its right on information in the best way. Another «Golden Key» was handed to Hripsime Jebejyan , a correspondent of « Aravot ե daily. The Kotayk marzpetaran was recognised the open board of the year using the RA law on «Information Freedomե in the best way. The site of RA General Prosecutors’ office was recognised the best among the websites. The most active citizen to use the right on information was Artak Zeynalyan .
« ArmenTel ե was awarded with «Rusty Locksե and was recognised the close body. RA Ministry of Transportation turned out to be another close institution of the republic for incorrect answer delivery. By the way, the last two establishments also got keys with their awards in hope that one day they will become open too.
